Winners Announced at City of Wanneroo Business Awards 2021

Returning for their 18th year, following a break last year due to COVID-19, Wanneroo Business Association was proud to host the City of Wanneroo Business Awards 2021 to celebrate and acknowledge business achievements from across the region.  Local singer Graham David Sanders set the mood to welcome guests during the Fox Mortgage Services Pre-Dinner Drinks, with a special appearance of their new company mascot Foxy.

Over 180 business owners, sponsors and local stakeholders were treated to music by live 3-piece band, Shimmer, alongside a three-course dinner served by the catering team at Wanneroo Golf Club, and the Fox Mortgages Live Social Media Wall was a hit once again with attendees sharing selfies and messages of good luck on the big screen.

Held at The Block in Merriwa and supported by the City of Wanneroo as naming right sponsor, the Business Awards were considered by an independent panel of judges who shortlisted a record breaking number of entries and were blown away by the calibre of businesses contending in each category.  With a 35% increase in the number of entries received, competition was high, with attendance on the evening also breaking all records.  The Customer Service Excellence category was the most contended, with the Judge’s pleased to see entries in the Employee of the Year category double.

Awards were presented by Nova 93.7’s Ross Wallman across 11 categories, with Complete Home Filtration, based in Wangara, crowned Ertech Holdings 2021 Business of the Year and Winner of the Community Vision Customer Service Excellence Award (pictured below – photography by Perth1Media).  Established in 2018, and winner of the 2019 Start Up of the Year Award, Complete Home Filtration is the only water filtration company in WA to develop water filtration technology and make large parts of their systems and some filters in Australia.  The judges were pleased to see the business is now operating across WA, NSW and QLD, helping thousands of homeowners get access to better water from every tap.

Ewan McAllister, owner of Aries Rail Pty Ltd was announced as the Mayor’s Visionary Business Person by City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts JP for his contribution to business and community.  Aries Rail also picked up the Insight Advisory Group 2021 Best Business: 15 & Over Employees Award, pictured below.

Superior Artificial Turf Supplies were newcomers to the Awards taking out the Complete Home Filtration Start Up of The Year Award (pictured left below), with Feeding Friend Group Pty Ltd hitting the jackpot by securing 2 top spots, winner of both the  Roads 2000 Innovator of the Year Award and the PerthNow Best Business Owner Operator Award.
