On Tuesday, 27 August, Community Bank Kingsway marked its milestone 20th anniversary with a Pitch Night, an event designed to give back to the community that has supported the bank over the past two decades.

The evening concluded with the bank awarding over $86,000 to 12 deserving local groups/associations. The funds will go towards supporting wellness initiatives, upgrading facilities and equipment for sporting clubs, assisting those in need (including those experiencing homelessness), and helping wildlife charities continue their amazing work.

The projects and initiatives presented during the night showcased the remarkable passion and dedication of local groups working to make the community a better place. Attendees were inspired by the breadth of community-focused efforts, all aimed at driving positive change.

In an industry where profit-driven models dominate, Community Bank Kingsway stands out as a financial institution that prioritises community over profit. The bank operates under a ‘profit-with-purpose’ model, ensuring that profits are reinvested into the community that sustains them. This approach has had a significant impact over the years; since its inception, Community Bank Kingsway has contributed more than $800,000 back into the community through sponsorships to local groups and not-for-profit organisations, as well as dividends to shareholders.

More than just a bank, Community Bank Kingsway is a community-driven entity that not only provides top-tier banking services but also plays a vital role in local development. Its success is a testament to what can be achieved when a community unites with a shared vision.

As it celebrates 20 years of service, Community Bank Kingsway remains committed to building a stronger, more vibrant community, looking forward to many more years of positive impact.
