City Of Wanneroo Business Awards 2019 Results

Winners acknowledged by Wanneroo Business Association at the 2019 City of Wanneroo Business Awards Presentation Dinner, marking organisations 20th Anniversary.

Back for their 17th year and organised by Wanneroo Business Association (WBA), the City of Wanneroo Business Awards 2019 saw 180 people gather to celebrate and acknowledge business achievements from across the region.DJ Vixon set the mood to welcome guests during the Radiant Chi Pre-Dinner Drinks showcasing the techniques used in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Business owners, sponsors and local stakeholders were treated to music by a live 3-piece band, a surprise magic show by Jon Fox at Global Magic Shop, a three course dinner served by local business and WBA member Creative Catering, and the Burning Fruit Live Social Media Wall which was a hit once again with attendees sharing selfies and messages of good luck on the big screen.

Held at The Block in Merriwa and supported by the City of Wanneroo as naming right sponsor, an independent panel of judges shortlisted well over 100 finalists, of which the winners and runners-up were announced at the event.

With the WBA sourcing sponsorship from several local stakeholders including Ertech Holdings, Edith Cowan University School of Business and Law, POPULUS, Roads2000, DevelopmentWA, Maxima Joblink, Wanneroo Times, Business News, Community Vision, Lakelands Country Club, The Northern Guide, Jenks & Co Blooms and Liquor Traders Australia, Resolute Security Services and more, the event marked itself as the pinnacle celebration in the Wanneroo business calendar.

Awards were presented by Nova 93.7’s Ross Wallman across 13 categories, with PUMPNSEAL, based in Wangara, crowned 2019 Business of the Year and Best Business: 15 and Over Employees for their progression to reaching 20 years in business.Jennie Pell, owner of Show West was announced as the Mayor’s Visionary Business Person by City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts JP for her contribution to business and community.

Complete Home Filtration hit the jackpot taking out the Community Vision Start Up of The Year Award and the ECU School of Business and Law Innovator of the Year Award.Mindarie Workshop and Auto Electrical were also in lights on the night after being crowned winner of the Roads2000 Customer Service Excellence Award, the DevelopmentWA Best Business: Over 5 and Under 15 Award along with additional celebrations for their Workshop Foreman David Fitzgerald who took home the title of Maxima Joblink Employee of the Year.Appliance Parts Solutions walked away with the Wanneroo Times Trades Excellence Award and CK Maloney Surveying Pty Ltd were rewarded for showing Online and Digital Excellence.Little Monkey Sports took home the trophy for the Best Business: 1 – 5 Employees, Jindalee based Tenco Engineers won Best Home Based Business and The Marina Mindarie were given the title of Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Year.

WBA Business Liaison Officer Lauren Bell said that entries to the awards had increased more than 30% in comparison to last year and the quality of entries made it much harder for the judges.“We are proud to delivery another sell-out event, celebrating the local talent, dedication and passion shown by our local businesses.”
President Dinesh Aggarwal added that the Wanneroo Business Association Board of Management and staff are proud and honoured to be able to bring acknowledgment to local businesses for their hard work, wishing them continued success in the future.
