Returning for their 15th year, the City of Wanneroo Business Awards 2017, organised by Wanneroo Business Association, took place on Friday 17 November and saw 150 people gather to celebrate and acknowledge business achievements from across the region.

Thasa performed live for attendees during the Fortuna Advisory Group Pre Dinner Drinks before they were seated for a long table banquet dinner served by Creative Catering.
High-level networking continued through the night, as guests shared selfies and messages on the Burning Fruit Live Social Media Wall, at The Block in Merriwa, before they hit the dancefloor to the Summer Club Band.
Each year the City of Wanneroo Mayor selects the winner of the 'Mayor's Visionary Business Person' to acknowledge an individual who has shown commitment to local business and community.
The 2017 Mayor's Visionary Winner was Paul Woodcock, CEO of Funday Entertainment Group who has persisted in business since 1981. Owner of Leapfrogs, Outback Splash, The Maze and Wanneroo Botanic Gardens, Paul is an icon in the Wanneroo community.
