Tell us more about Blow Your Own Mind

Established in October 2018 by my business partner Lisa Smith and I, Blow Your Own Mind helps business owners and leaders reach their full potential through inspiring online webinars, practical workshops and business coaching using an innovative Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP) tool.  Since starting out in business we have gone from strength to strength.

We are the only Master Practitioners of the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® tool in Australia and New Zealand.  Our growing team of EMP Practitioners use the tool to support their clients to understand their innate ability to succeed and overcome any obstacles.  We all focus on the person behind the business to help them understand their motivations, to encourage self-belief, so that the business reaches its full potential.

Our ideal client would be a business owner or leader who wants to make a real difference and achieve their full potential.

Can you imagine where you and your business would be if fear didn’t hold you back; if you blew your own mind?

Summarise the Wanneroo Business Association in 3 words

Fun, informative and supportive! My favourite thing about the Wanneroo Business Association is being able to connect with other business owners.  We really like how responsive the team are to help small business owners.  Well done team Wanneroo Business Association!

Why are you a member of the WBA?

It’s great to connect with other business owners in the City of Wanneroo, share ideas and network.  We were also runner up for Best Business Start Up 2019 which was quite an achievement for our first year in business.  We’ve recommended several business owners to join Wanneroo Business Association and also regularly use the co-working space.  Well done team Wanneroo Business Association!

Share your Biggest Business Challenge

We realised very early on when setting up the business that outsourcing was the best way to maximise our time and build national reach.  This strategy has enabled us to grow internationally and attract clients in New Zealand.  Your time is your most valuable commodity.

Share your Biggest Business Win

Designing and delivering the Small Business Development Corporation PIVOT 6 month program to several hundred businesses across the State, funded by the WA State Government’s Recovery Plan.  The PIVOT program will be the largest measurement of entrepreneurial mindset to date and will benchmark the intersection of entrepreneurship and economic development in Australia. We have a team of 14 highly experienced Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP) business coaches who are supporting the program.

Have you built any successful relationships through the Wanneroo Business Association?

The Bswapshop initiative came from a collaboration between another WBA member Kati McKeon from Hot Lizard Designs.  It was developed during the COVID19 outbreak to help connect businesses swap services.   Many Wanneroo Business Association members have been to our workshops both online and face to face.

What is your favourite Wanneroo Business Association event?

Every Wannneroo Business Association event has something to offer providing you go with the intention of maximising opportunities that are presented to you.

Do you have a favourite memory with Wanneroo Busines Association?

The business networking sundowner held at Atlantis Play Centre when we all got the chance to ride on the kids go carts!  Another memory is from when I was on the Board, and we visited Yanchep National Park riding to ride the segways.
