Be Part of the Team Behind the Scenes
Build your profile, develop new skills, and help guide the direction of your business association.
Our sub-committees give members the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the direction of the Wanneroo Business Association. Each group focuses on a specific area of the Association’s work, from branding and communications to governance and finance. By joining a sub-committee, you can share your expertise, contribute fresh ideas, and work alongside other passionate members to strengthen the WBA and support the local business community.
Getting involved also comes with personal benefits. It’s a great way to raise your profile, expand your network, and build stronger connections with other business owners. You’ll gain valuable insights into how the Association operates, develop new leadership and collaboration skills, and have the satisfaction of knowing your input is helping to create real opportunities for local business.
Brand & Communication
The Brand & Communication Sub-Committee focuses on how WBA is seen and heard. From marketing and messaging to brand consistency, this group works to strengthen awareness, engagement, and connection with members and the wider community.
Governance
The Governance Sub-Committee ensures the WBA is managed effectively, ethically, and in line with best practice. This group reviews policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to support a strong foundation for the Association’s growth. It’s ideal for those who value structure, accountability, and good governance.
Finance
The Finance Sub-Committee oversees the Association’s financial health, helping to manage budgets, reporting, and long-term sustainability. With a focus on transparency and responsibility, this group ensures WBA resources are used wisely to deliver the best outcomes for members.
Getting Involved
There are plenty of ways to play an active role in your local business association. Joining a sub-committee or working group is a great way to contribute your skills and ideas to specific projects, from events and sponsorships to marketing and governance.
It’s a chance to work alongside other passionate members, influence the direction of WBA initiatives, and help create opportunities that benefit the whole business community. Volunteering is another rewarding way to get involved.
Whether it’s lending a hand in the office, assisting at one of our events, or supporting our team behind the scenes, your time and expertise make a real difference. Volunteering also gives you the chance to connect with more members, raise your own profile, and be part of the WBA story in a hands-on way.
