Your wedding is the biggest day of your life!! It’s natural that you will have some questions during wedding planning or be curious about how it all works on the day.
There is a lot to think about and with 20 years of experience, Cherry’s Catering can guide you through planning a wedding. So, let’s get to it and answer some of those burning questions that we bet are bubbling away in your head as you start your wedding planning.
At Cherry’s our door is always open. We always welcome couples to come and meet with during their wedding planning stage, to go over the specifics for your big day.
This depends firstly on whether you are planning a wedding with guests seated for a plated meal or if you would prefer your guests to be upstanding/mingling.
For a plated meal, the following menus are a perfect fit.
Your wedding planning might include a mingling style reception, then Cocktail Finger Food & perhaps a Grazing Table is the way to go!
Whichever type of menu you choose during wedding planning, rest assured we will impress your guests and satisfy tummies!
Typically, our staff are onsite for a 3 hours period, arriving 1 hour prior to food service
This will depend on your menu selection and final guest numbers.
Typically when planning a wedding, a Buffet or Cocktail Party for 80 guests would need 1 chef & 2 wait-staff
Yes, there are a few options for pre-dinner canapes if you are thinking of them during your wedding planning.

Yes, you can! Forget about liquor licencing when wedding planning, at Cherry’s we have our own liquor licence enabling us to supply & serve you & your guests.
We can cater drinks packages to compliment your special occasion and catering needs. Cheers to that!
Cherry’s can dress your tables POA.
You are welcome to collect cutlery & napkins from Cherry’s prior but most menus include a disposable 2 ply Cherrys napkin (white with Cherry’s logo).
Upgrade to white linen at $1.50pp (other colours are available POA).
Cherry’s can cut your cake but additional staff costs may apply.
When planning a wedding, you don’t normally think of this, but at the end of your function, any leftover food is left for your consumption, in line with Food Safety regulations.
Children aged 12+ are charged at adult pricing and children under 12 are charged at 70%.
Yes, we charge 15% surcharge on PH because we need to pay our staff PH rates, this is on the total price of your catering.
Great news – NO extra charge – just great value! This means planning a wedding and managing your budget is easier!
At Cherry’s Catering we do not charge extra because we are catering a wedding and all our pricing is fully inclusive of GST.
We offer taste testing, viewing of venue and on-going consultancy as required.
