Meet Priscilla Clayton, Director of Clayton Consulting WA. As a new member of the Wanneroo Business Association, read on on to get to know her, as she shares more about her business and experience with the WBA so far.
We help businesses win government contracts worth $500,000 and upwards. I am the Director of Clayton Consulting WA which commenced in 2018. As part of our quality assurance process, I am a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) which provides regular training in best practice and opportunity to network with other bid management professionals. My ideal customer is someone who really wants to win their next tender! A customer who knows and understands their buyer.
In March 2020, just as we were going into regional lock down for Covid-19, my customer phoned to thank me saying they won the tender submission I prepared worth several million dollars. She went on to say it was such a relief because they could keep all their 28 staff employed and not worry about laying off anyone. Everyone had a mortgage and mouths to feed and winning the contract gave their business and employees certainty. This reinforced my ‘why’.
To meet and network with like-minded business owners in the Wanneroo area. During a crisis you find out who your true friends are. For me during the COVID-19 lock down in WA, I found the WBA staff and Board went that extra mile to support and keep members connected with each other through networking and training. It reinforced why I should continue being a member of Wanneroo Business Association.
I recommend businesses to join the WBA; the staff and Board are friendly and helpful and always thinking of innovative ways to help the members. Well done guys!
SEO so I can reach more customers.
The numerous business networking opportunities on offer each month and the friendly staff.
I bought many of my Christmas presents from Yanchep Lavender Farm and shortly hoping to use a WBA member for my SEO requirements.
My first networking event was in January 2020 at the City of Wanneroo. Having the guest list prior to the event was really useful. It helped me focus on who I wanted to meet and I was able to link-up with them. Game on!
They are all great but I love the sunriser speed networking sessions the most.
I do not read fiction! Actually, I love reading fiction, but I find them terribly addictive because I am unable to put the book down, not even for food or sleep.
