Tall Tree Early Learning Nature School in Banksia Grove – contributed by Atlantis Group
The Atlantis Group continues to grow within our community with the opening of their New Tall Tree Early Learning Nature School in Banksia Grove.
Earlier this year, Tall Tree Early Learning opened their newest centre in Banksia Grove with a desire to give the children a playful outdoor childhood experience. The children are immersed in Nature and are encouraged to learn, play and explore outdoors at every opportunity. The unique Nature School is located on the outskirts of Banksia Grove on a 5,000sqm semi-rural property.
Tall Tree Early Learning Banksia Grove focuses on sustainability and creating a learning environment where the children learn and understand the importance of the environment and the natural world. The children tend to an onsite vegetable garden, bush tucker garden and chickens as part of their Food Education program, and just hatched their own chickens in May!
“We want to ensure that all Tall Tree children understand and appreciate their impact on the planet and the importance of everyday decisions. We offer only interactive and immersive experiences. Children get to be hands-on while learning, as we know how important that is to the learning process during the formative years.” Says owner Rory Hindle.
Nature School’s unique large outdoor area also provides the children with a 122m long bike track, swings, large scale nature play installations, hand crafted timber playgrounds and an outdoor fire pit for winter storytime and cookouts.
Inside the centre you’re met by a rustic, naturally designed space with, not only five large learning environments, also an art room and separate Nature Studies classroom, specifically designed for Nature enquiries and investigation, allowing the children to tap into their own intuitive abilities to learn and learn.
