Returning for their 16th year, the City of Wanneroo Business Awards 2018, organised by Wanneroo Business Association, took place on Friday 16 November and saw 160 people gather to celebrate and acknowledge business achievements from across the region.

DJ Vixon set the mood for the night playing a set through the Creative Catering Cocktail Party, following this attendees were treated to music by a live 3-piece band and Nova 93.7's Ross Wallman who took to the mic as the Master of Ceremonies.
A banquet style three course dinner was served with a side of high-level networking, as guests shared selfies and messages of good luck on the Burning Fruit Live Social Media Wall, at The Block in Merriwa.
Each year the City of Wanneroo Mayor selects the winner of the 'Mayor's Visionary Business Person' to acknowledge an individual who has shown commitment to local business and community.
The 2018 Mayor's Visionary Winner was Bev Errington. Bev is Treasurer of the Wanneroo Agricultural Society, involved in organising the popular Wanneroo Show, assists the Olympic Kingsway Sport Club as Board Member, and fulfils the roll of Chairperson of the Bendigo Kingsway Community Bank Branch, supporting our local community where possible.
