Be Part of the Team Helping Guide WBA

Find out what the Board does, what is expected, and how to get involved.

The Wanneroo Business Association Board helps guide the direction of the organisation and supports the work we do for the local business community. This page gives members an overview of how the Board works, the roles involved, and what to expect if you are interested in stepping up.

Serving on the Board is a chance to contribute in a meaningful way, build stronger connections, and help shape what comes next for WBA.

Why Join the Board

Serving on the Board is about more than filling a role. It is a chance to contribute to the future of WBA, be part of important conversations, build stronger connections, grow your leadership skills, raise your profile within the business community, and be recognised as someone who is actively involved.

Board Roles and Portfolios

Board members help guide the organisation, contribute ideas, support initiatives, and represent WBA within the business community. Depending on the role and area of involvement, this may include attending meetings, supporting events, contributing to discussions, or working within specific portfolios or sub-committees.

As a general guide, Board members are expected to contribute around an hour a week, with extra involvement depending on the role and how actively they choose to participate.
