Dr Jalleh

Hi, I’m Dr Jalleh Sharafizad, an Entrepreneurship and Innovation lecturer in the Business Services discipline at the Edith Cowan University School of Business and Law. I am a passionate researcher with a successful track record mainly in the areas of entrepreneurship and small business. I have published extensively and internationally in high impact journals such as International Journal of Hospitality Management, Studies in Higher Education Journal, and Education + Training.

I look forward to helping the WBA in all its activities and endeavours and working together to build up capabilities for all businesses within the City of Wanneroo.

My current research has led to major awards like the Edith Cowan University Athena SWAN Advancement Scheme, 2019.  In addition, I have led and successfully completed a number of research projects funded by Edith Cowan University. I have chaired and organised major international industry events like Networks in changing business ecosystems 3rd International Symposium. Being a strong advocate for small business, I regularly volunteer my knowledge and time to assist different business associations in WA, helping them put together training programs and networking events for business start-ups, providing advice and expertise to help entrepreneurs launch their new business, and assisting business owners to grow and expand their established business.
