When conflict arises, especially within families, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, emotional, and unsure where to turn. That’s where Liz Grayshon from Grays Mediation steps in.
A calm presence with over 15 years’ legal experience, Liz specialises in helping people move forward without going to court. Her mission is to create safe, respectful spaces where families can reach their own agreements, peacefully and practically.
From Courtroom to Conversation
Before founding Grays Mediation, Liz worked across a wide range of legal areas including family, commercial, civil, and criminal law. But she found herself increasingly drawn to the space between legal action and lasting resolution. It’s in this space that empathy, listening, and clear communication can prevent disputes from becoming battles.
Now an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and NMAS mediator, Liz supports separated couples and families to work through complex issues like parenting arrangements and property division. The child’s best interest is always front and centre.
“It’s not about winning. It’s about working things out.”
Liz’s approach to mediation is refreshingly down to earth. She doesn’t offer legal advice. Instead, she facilitates conversations that lead to agreements both parties can live with. Whether it’s through Zoom with regional clients or sitting across the table in her northern suburbs practice, Liz helps people talk to one another, not just about one another.
Her process is fair, trauma-informed, and values-driven. With fixed-fee options and transparent pricing, she’s also helping to make mediation more accessible for everyday families.
Mediation That Puts People First
Grays Mediation offers:
- Parenting mediation – helping separated parents create agreements focused on children’s needs
- Property mediation – working through financial settlements respectfully
- Family law certificates – including section 60I certificates for court applications
- Flexible sessions – available online or in-person across WA
Whether emotions are running high or communication has broken down, Liz brings clarity, compassion, and professionalism to every case.
